PIONEER DAY

I would like my family to remember that we came to live in Arizona and Utah long ago, because our Pioneer ancestors followed the Prophet. I love the songs of the Pioneers, especially, "Whenever I think about Pioneers, I think of brave Women and Men" and "Pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked." We are trying to live like they did and follow the Prophet today. In our family we also have a living Pioneer, Maria. She joined the church on her own, in her early teen years and was baptized a member in Canada. We are grateful for all the Pioneers in our family. Following are the words to one of my favorite Pioneer songs.

For prophets have spoken and angels have come to lift the world from sin,

Those marvelous Saints who embraced this great work and shared it in lands far & near;
