There was an article on the internet. It was from a national news organization, in their entertainment section. The article stated that there were 17 movies that people would watch over and over, according to some person who writes for for them (on a regular basis !!)

1. Good Fellas with Joe Pesci
2. Shawshank Redemption
3. Dr. Strangelove
4. The Silence of the Lambs
5. Conan the Barbarian
6. All About Eve
7. Clue
8. The Goonies
9. Varsity Blues
10. The Princess Bride

12. The Last of the Mohicans
13. Die Hard
14. Fight Club
15. Back to the Future
16. Best in Show
17. Bram Stokers “Dracula”

So, i thought and thought. And came up with some 13 movies that the Ellsworths can watch over and over. Stolen from the top list with major modifications.
Ours…… (with the ones on their list, that we have seen)

1. ShawShank Redemption the dear husband has probably seen this over 100 times. I think…..
2. Clue the older daughter things this is one of the best ever
3. The Princess Bride
4. The Last of the Mohicans The dialogue. The story. The romance. The scenery.
5. Back to the Future

7. School of Rock
8. John Wayne in anything
9. James Bond in everything

11. Hollywood and Broadway Musicals from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s. 00’s. We all know all the songs. We are like that. We like especially the ones with great dance numbers. (7 Brides for 7 Brothers and Singing in the Rain and West Side Story are some examples.)
12. Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Gate, Contact, just sci-fi ANYTHING
13. Disney musicals. The good old ones, not the politically correct ones

  1. Oh mom, I'm so sad that you haven't seen Fight Club. It is MY FAVORITE MOVIE. And I've seen it at least 100 times.

Troy's favorite is Good Will Hunting. He watches it every time it's on TV. Personally, I think it's crap, but to each their own.

AND you have to see Return to Me. It is SO SO GOOD.
